I thought FOR SURE this photo was somewhere on this blog but I just went digging around and can’t seem to find it. This one is for Jen. As you can read on her blog, quite recently and unexpectedly she lost her best buddy. And if I can have this hard of a time even typing about a dog I didn’t know, from this far away, I can’t imagine what Jen’s heart is going through. I have been showering the Seal with even more love and attention this week, for Gracie, who might be the only dog ever, to have an even bigger smile than the Seal.

May the world be nothing but gentle and kind to you, Jen. Take care of yourself,
jj

That’s such a cute picture.
Jen’s a really special girl and so very strong. I just recently watched Marley and Me and cried hard (hey look, besides Terms of Endearment I don’t tend to cry hard at movies) thinking about what Jen must be feeling and also thinking about my sister’s dog. Her dog had to be put to sleep last month at the age of 12 and her family (husband & 3 young kids) have been having a very hard time with it. Dogs are a part of the family in a way that people who don’t have dogs can’t quite understand. I’m seeing that now.

Jen
When I saw the picture I laughed because it’s such a GOOFY and smiley face, just like G Mac. Then of course I read what you wrote and cried and had to walk away from my desk to collect myself.
Thanks for showering Seal with some extra loving. Thanks for posting this incredibly thoughtful post. Thanks for thinking of me, a stranger, with your kind thoughts.
If I could reach through the computer and give you a hug, I would.
